Winona Ryder, professionally Winona Ryder was born on Winona Minnesota. The name was given to her by her parents for the town where she was raised in. Her father Michel Horowitz, and mother Cynthia Palmer are authors and editors. Ryder's parents also happen to be Jewish. Ryder believes herself to being Jewish. The actress is the younger sister of Uria who is half-sister to Jubal & Sunyata. In the year Ryder was only seven her family moved into Mendocino County California. The town didn't even have electricity. Ryder was a prolific reader due to the lack of television. Ryder began taking acting classes at the age of Ryder was 12, and was enrolled in classes at the American Conservatory Theatre. Lucas was released in 1986. Ryder, who was just 15 years old, was offered an acting job as a lead actress. Ryder suffered bullying in the high school. Her performing career, she thought that it would aid her. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. However, she pushed on with her dream. Ryder made her breakthrough in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice in the year 1988. Ryder went on to have numerous roles that were successful. There were two Academy Awards were nominated, one for The Age of Innocence (1996).
